Corporate Partnership Intern -
FILLED

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:
* Building strong relationships with sponsors by giving excellent customer service.
* Customer service calls to accounts prior to and immediately following their event.
* Review contracts for proper execution and coordination of the fulfillment process.
* Help account managers maintain communication with sponsors.
* Prospect and canvas local and national businesses for sponsorship calls.
* Help organize and facilitate sponsor nights or events.
* Assist with Stadium operations as needed.
* Assist with general front office duties as needed.
* Create creative partnership proposals and proof of performance presentations.

REQUIREMENTS:
* College student that has at least completed sophomore year.
* Energetic and enthusiastic.
* Must be a team player.
* Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Group Sales Intern - FILLED

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:
*Selling various ticket packages including suites, party decks, birthday parties, group tickets, and special experiences via the phone, email, and in person
*Assisting group event coordinators with fulfillment and client servicing
*Calling established leads and generating new leads
*Assist in preparing events
*Game day duties include preparation of group areas and event detail, administrative tasks and other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Grounds Operations Intern - OPEN

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES: The Grounds Crew Intern will report directly to the Head Groundskeeper and will assist in the day-to-day operations of 12 practice fields and the stadium field during Spring Training and Florida State League.
Duties include but are not limited to: mound and home plate repairs, field set up for BP, game preparations, mowing and all other aspects of baseball field maintenance.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to assist in pulling the tarp.

Merchandising Intern - FILLED
JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES: The Merchandising Intern position revolves around the operation of the Team Store and the warehouse locations for Roger Dean Stadium’s Team Store. This Intern reports directly to the Merchandising Manager. During Spring Training, the Merchandising Intern will be responsible for all aspects of the retail operation at the stadium. Responsibilities include organizing, receiving/counting new merchandise, distributing merchandise to portable and store locations, helping process orders and using the computerized inventory system to monitor and control inventory levels. Other responsibilities include creating displays, operating the computerized retail system, and working with the part time store employees and part time employees that run the portable retail locations during games. The Merchandising Intern will be also be responsible for assisting with the sales of tickets for promotional nights, group events, and individual games. There will also be opportunities for this intern to be involved with distributing promotional items in the community as well as assisting with any team mascot or player appearances at the ballpark or in the community. This internship requires a commitment from January through the end of August and there are scholarship opportunities available for qualified candidates.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIRED SKILLS: The candidates for this position must have impeccable organizational skills, an excellent personality, and be willing to work long hours and weekends in a fast-paced environment, as well as being open to working in ticket sales as well as other department areas as needed. The Merchandising Intern must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and possess internet skills. Individual must be organized, have cash handling experience, and be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Press Box Intern - FILLED

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:
Press Box
* Manage and oversee all press box workers and equipment during the Spring Training and the Florida State League season (the press box involves the following areas of equipment PA System, Music Computer, Video Board, Message Center, Scoreboard, and Official Scorer)
* Program music and DVD clips to help maximize fan entertainment
* Create and edit promotional videos
* Train and supervise all press box staff
* Be responsible for the scheduling and payroll of press box staff
* Create and write public address announcements for in-game usage
* Assist with the planning and coordinating of on-field activities with marketing department
* Program video board and message center equipment daily (head shots, statistics, sponsor logos, birthdays, groups, etc)
* Create visual content for the video board (head shots, pre-game entertainment, etc)
* Operate video board/ message center for Spring Training and Florida State League games
* Coordinate the production of the Team Baseball Card sets
* Work with team photographer to create a database of all baseball related photographs (head shots, action shots)
Media Relations
* Write and issue all press releases and correspondence with media
* Write and issue game notes for each game
* Write feature articles for the program on a monthly basis
* Facilitate interview requests and media credentialing
* Establish a good relationship with local media
* Increase the database of local media contacts
Website Management
* Update the stadium and team websites with game recaps and promotional information on a daily basis
* Write feature articles for the stadium and team websites on a weekly basis

Stadium Operations Intern - FILLED

DUTIES: The Stadium Operations Intern will report directly to the Director of Stadium Operations and will help supervise a part-time stadium staff of 60-80 individuals.

EXPERIENCS/REQUIRED SKILLS: The Stadium Operations Intern will:
* Assist in the training and supervision of part-time stadium staff in all aspects of security and game-day operations
* Assist the Stadium Operations Manager in running all aspects of stadium operations including security, parking, programs, concourse entertainment and in-park staff
* Help to maintain stadium policies regarding customer service and other issues
* Assist the Stadium Operations Manager in leading part-time staff with regard to customer service and day-to-day operations
* Assist in the reconciliation of monies from other areas of operations including parking, programs and concourse entertainment

Ticket Office Intern - FILLED

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES: The Ticket Office Intern will help supervise a part-time ticket office staff of eight to 12 individuals and will work with a six-person sales team on group and season tickets.
* Sell season, group, mini-plan and individual tickets for Spring Training 2011 and Florida State League 2011 games
* Acquire a working knowledge of the TicketMaster System
* Assist in the training and supervision of the part-time ticket office staff in all aspects of selling season, group, mini-plan and individual tickets
* Assist in the printing of season, group and mini-plan tickets
* Assist the ticket manager in running the office.
* Help in maintaining the policies of the ticket office with regard to customer service and other ticketing issues
* Assist in the execution of mailing season ticket renewals, mini-plans and invoicing
* Help maintain accounts database utilizing CRM and TicketMaster
* Assist the Ticket Manager in leading part-time staff with regard to customer service and day-to-day operations of the ticket office
* Assist in reconciliation of monies from other areas of operations including parking, programs and concourse entertainment

REQUIREMENTS:

Marketing Intern - FILLED

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES: The Marketing In tern will assist the staff with increasing awareness and attendance for Spring Training with the Florida Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals, and the Florida State League season with the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals. This individual will assist with creating promotional material, writing press releases and implementing media buys. In addition, the marketing intern will locate and schedule events in the community, organize pre-game activities, and assist with on-field promotions, as well as other duties assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: The Marketing Intern should have experience in marketing or the sports and entertainment field. This individual must be a well-organized self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills. He or she must be detail oriented, and a problem solver with an excellent driving record. The marketing Intern must be flexible and have the ability to work extended hours, and work closely and well with others. Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Photoshop a MUST.

Minor League Intern - FILLED

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES: The Minor League Intern will report directly to the General Manager of Minor League Operations.
* Responsible for coordinating all of the details of the Knothole Gang Kids Club including marketing the program, tracking enrollment, and planning weekly activities
* Responsible for coordinating all of the details of the Reading & Writing Program to all schools in Palm Beach County
* Responsible for coordinating all of the details of five Education Days including marketing the program to all schools in Palm Beach and Martin County.
* Sell various ticket packages for special programs and promotions throughout the season, including Recreation Days, Little League nights, and other group outings
* Assist with mascot and player appearances throughout the community
* Be responsible for coordinating such game day activities as Launch-A-Ball and the Prize Wheel
* Help to maintain the policies of the stadium with regard to customer service and other issues of stadium operations
* Assist in numerous other activities associated with the day-to-day business of a professional baseball team
* Assist the General Manager with the overall operation of the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals
